CHAMPION’S CORNER:

Mike Brannigan, President USSG
Since beginning my role as NBEA champion a few months ago, I have participated in several NBEA events across the country. I have had the opportunity to speak with many of you and to listen to what is on your mind. Upon reflection, here is what I know to be true.
You care deeply for this company. It is evident in our discussions about Xerox’s strategic direction and current business state, and in your concerns regarding equitable career growth and development opportunities. Your questions are thoughtful and important. I appreciate your insights, and look forward to hearing more of them. If together we are to make a difference, we must continue to have these candid dialogues.
This issue of the NBEA newsletter recognizes the accomplishments of some very talented women. They are role models for all employees. Their success demonstrates the power of diversity and the value of fostering an inclusive work environment for all. The best really do rise to the top. And these women certainly make us all proud to be Xerox.
I have often said that diversity, like any other Xerox imperative, must be continuously managed. The moment we stop being vigilant about it, or let anyone take it for granted, is the moment its importance begins to diminish. We as a corporation won’t let that happen. Xerox remains committed to diversity as a value and a business priority. The NBEA board and I remain absolutely committed to understanding and working on the issues that concern you most.
You also have an important role to play. Continue to provide your input and perspectives. Invite local leaders to participate in caucus events. Take time to mentor and support other NBEA members. Most importantly, remain vigilant in your contributions to a productive, inclusive, successful Xerox.
My best to you.
